# FAQs

The extension scans browser history every few minutes for URLs that match recognized SaaS applications. If it finds a match, it will record a session for that user. The history scanning and matching process is performed locally so that no browsing data is sent to our servers unless it's a visit to a verified SaaS application.

Matching logic varies by app, but generally speaking, we're looking for URLs that indicate a user is logged in to a SaaS application. We don't track visits to marketing sites, blogs, or any other publicly accessible page.

To report session that shouldn't have been recorded or request tracking for a new app, please send a message to [email protected]. You can also report an issue directly on your sessions feed in the overflow menu for a given session.

We essentially track daily active usage (DAU) for each app. In other words, each user can only record one session per day for each app. In addition to sessions, we also track pageviews for each app to provide more context on app engagement.

Tracking can be disabled for any user in your directory.

  1. Visit your directory page
  2. Click the menu button next to a user's name
  3. Select Do not track

This prevents activity reporting even if the browser extension is installed.
